1864's Tropicana Botanical Pilsner wins Asia Beer award

Sofitel Singapore City Centre’s Tropicana Botanical Pilsner produced in collaboration with local beer brewer Trouble Brewing, has been awarded the Chairman's Selection at the recent Asia Beer Championship 2019 for its “exemplary style”. Available exclusively at the hotel’s 1864 bar, the Tropicana Botanical Pilsner was the brainchild of master brewer Gregg Speirs and the hotel team.

Crisp and well-balanced, the brew features botanical notes from Sofitel’s signature Singapour Je T'aime tea blend. Named after Tropicana, a floral art piece by artist-in-residence Arianna Caroli, each bottle is adorned with motifs from its namesake on the label. According to the hotel, this recognition reaffirms the flagship Sofitel property's commitment to providing tailor-made experiences to its guests.
Also in celebration of the win, 1864 said it will pair the winning brew with meat-free bar bites. Available from 14 October 2019 to 30 December 2019 for both lunch and dinner, menu highlights include vegan-friendly brand Impossible Burgers with a side of fries as well as Impossible Bolognese featuring gluten free spaghetti. Diners may also take home the entire craft beer collection including two bottles of Tropicana Botanical Pilsner, one bottle of Banana Sunday Session IPA, and one bottle of Crocodile Sunset Summer Ale.
