New programme taps into start-ups in SEA region

Global innovation platform Plug and Play has launched a Food and AgTech (agricultural technology) Accelerator Program. This initiative aims to tap promising start-ups to help address challenges across the food production value chain from farm to table.
Shawn Dehpanah, the company’s EVP and head of Corporate Innovation APAC, said they plan to source and engage the most innovative start-ups to transform corporations digitally. This programme will also provide new opportunities for investments in the ASEAN region, he explained.
The programme was launched in Thailand last month. It will connect corporations, governments, and investors with the Plug and Play ecosystem which boasts over 20,000 start-ups. These include technologies ranging from Digital & Sustainable Farming, Feed & Animal Health, Food Processing, Microbiome, Personalised Nutrition, Supply Chain Logistics, Waste Reduction, Consumer Analytics & Retail.
