Celebrity chef opens Bangkok eatery

Celebrity chef Alain Ducasse has opened his first restaurant in Bangkok called 'Blue by Alain Ducasse', located at ICONSIAM – a new US$1.6 billion development in Bangkok. The new eatery features a contemporary French menu created by the chef using carefully selected ingredients.
"Blue is not a stiff restaurant,” said Ducasse. “While it is extraordinary and very special, it is also very welcoming. It's a place where you can feel comfortable and allow yourself to fully focus on a marvellous experience, enjoying the ambience, the view, the service, the wines, and of course, the food.”
The new restaurant, which costs around US$8 million to build, is expected to enhance Bangkok's position as one of the world's essential destinations for outstanding gastronomic experiences.
Ducasse has 21 Michelin stars across 31 restaurants in 10 countries, including Thailand. His obsessive attention to detail is known and considered as one of the reasons he earned Michelin stars in his restaurants.
