Picasso exhibit in Beijing inspires ‘artistic’ dessert

The NUO Hotel Beijing is showing its artistic side by creating a ‘Picasso-themed’ dessert to complement strategic partner UCCA Centre for Contemporary Art’s “Picasso — Birth of a Genius” art exhibit. 
Inspired by world-famous artist Pablo Picasso's genius, the hotel concocted an artistic dessert called Jasmine Peach Cake which has a rich fruit flavour and contains white chocolate mousse filling. The masterpiece is complemented by edible homemade cookie brushes and jam paint on the palette — reminding diners of a warm and fun-filled colourful afternoon.
The exhibit coincides with the 55th anniversary of the establishment of China-France diplomatic relations. According to UCCA, "Picasso - Birth of a Genius" is so far the most significant exhibition of work by Picasso (1881-1973) to take place in China. The exhibit runs from 15 June until 1 September 2019 at UCCA’s Great Hall in Beijing.
Meanwhile, the artistic Jasmine Peach Cake is available until September 1 at NUO Hotel Beijing’s Lobby Lounge.
