More opportunities for the food and drinks sector

Tradeshows catering to the region's F&B industry are making their presence again. Recently, business leaders and industry players from the local and international F&B scene showed full force at the official opening of Restaurant Asia 2022 (RA 2022) and International Coffee & Tea Asia 2022 (ICTA 2022). The three-day co-located shows at the Marina Bay Sands Singapore Expo and Convention Centre were organised for participants from the F&B scene seeking new business opportunities and markets, especially in food ingredients, supply chain, operation, workforce, and innovation.
RA 2022 highlighted opportunities and market potentials in the local F&B scene. When the food services sector endured repeated disruptions due to the pandemic, many took the opportunity to transform their businesses and operations. RA 2022 became a platform for industry leaders and players to meet, discuss, and discover new solutions to improve efficiencies in their front of house and back of house operations.
Meanwhile, originally a biennial show, the FHA – Food & Beverage organiser said the show will now take place annually. FHA-Food & Beverage 2022 will officially resume this year at the Singapore EXPO from 5-8 September 2022. The next show is on the 25–28th of April 2023 at the same venue. Following the 2022 edition in September, ProWine Singapore - an international trade fair for wines and spirits, will return alongside FHA in April next year.
Janice Lee, event director, Hospitality, Food & Beverage - Hong Kong & Singapore, Informa Markets, said:
"We realise the need to embrace the new normal within the F&B industry. By pivoting FHA-Food & Beverage to an annual platform, we can better cater industry professionals who needs a year-round solution to meet a larger audience in the fast-changing industry. It is a very exciting development, and we look forward to work closely with our partners and customers as FHA – Food & Beverage evolves into its new calendar cycle." (Image from Unsplash)
