New learning platform for Malaysian bakers

To help home bakers in Malaysia hone their skills, Anchor Start Up and digital platform Kuali collaborated on a new online learning hub. The new knowledge portal offers free registration to a programme featuring course-by-course learning on baking operations and charting strategy in managing a baking business. What's more, the participants will have a chance to sell more products via the initiative's listing platform. According to the companies, the publicly available platform is timely to accelerate other small and micro enterprises in the baking industry disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Fonterra Brands Malaysia, the company behind Anchor Start Up, said that during the pandemic, the company have been working on various activities to support and empower home bakers for sustainable growth. With the new learning platform, bakers can drive their business performance by acquiring specific skill sets to carve their competitive advantages. They can also sell more products via The Batter Place listing platform found on the learning portal. "We believe it will create a catalytic effect for the baking community in Malaysia," explained Jack Tan, food service director, Fonterra Brands Malaysia. Bakers will have access to various courses ranging from essential baking tips, marketing businesses and other helpful classes. Users who complete the programme will also be issued a digital certificate.
