Food and grocery delivery network foodpanda has entered a strategic partnership with Chinese tech giant Xiaomi. The venture will make the tech company's consumer electronics and appliances available for on-demand deliveries from the food network's shops in Singapore and Thailand.Xiaomi said foodpanda is their first quick-commerce (q-commerce) partner in Asia outside of China. The delivery network will offer hundreds of items ranging from smart devices, audio and mobile accessories and household appliances, and delivery is within 30 minutes. This partnership also marks foodpanda shops' expansion of non-grocery categories to better provide for customers' daily lifestyle needs.
In addition to listing the products in Singapore and Thailand shops, the foodpanda app is pre-loaded in new Xiaomi mobile phones in 10 markets across Asia — Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Pakistan, Taiwan, Philippines, Bangladesh, and Laos, Cambodia, and Myanmar. (Image from Unsplash)
