Tokyo to be the sweet spot for a new show

Tokyo is in for a sweet treat next year when ISM, one of the largest trade fairs for sweets and snacks, makes its Asian debut there from the 13th to the 15th of April 2022. Branded as ISM Japan, the sweets and snacks showcase will take place at the Tokyo Big Sight.
According to show organiser Koelnmesse, ISM Japan is the first dedicated showcase for Asia's sweets and snacks industry. It is modelled after the world’s largest trade fair for sweets and snacks – ISM Cologne in Germany. Some of the key factors that prompted ISM's entry into Japan include a forecasted 6.2% annual growth of the Asia-Pacific Confectionery market from 2020 to 2025. Japan is the sixth largest confectionery market world and has a nationwide growing demand for quality and innovative sweets and snack products. Furthermore, the establishment of Free Trade Agreements with the European Union and the US makes it even more attractive for overseas food products to enter the market now.
ISM Japan is co-located with six other F&B shows, namely Wine & Gourmet Japan, FABEX, Dessert Sweets & Bakery Festival, Food & Drink OEM Matching Expo, Noodle Industry Fair and the Premium Food Show. The combined shows aim to attract over 1,000 exhibitors and close to 80,000 trade visitors from Asia and East Asia. For more information on the event, visit www.ismjapan.com.
