Cocoa association elects new chairman, forms new exco


Alvin Lee is now the new chairman of the Cocoa Association of Asia (CAA). Lee, who is also the commercial director of Cargill Cocoa & Chocolate will serve as CAA's chairman for the next two years.
Joining Lee are CAA’s new executive committee. Quek Ngee Chuan, vice-president, Cocoa Division of Olam International is the association’s vice-chairman. Amit Suri, general manager at Wilmar Group for Cocoa and Chocolate and Africa, will serve as CAA’s secretary. Gerald Abwerzger, CEO of Von Alm is the new treasurer.
"The previous exco has left a solid foundation for our new exco to build upon," said Lee.
"We look forward to bringing the association and its membership to new heights while continuing to champion and promote the consumption of what is arguably the world's most delicious ingredient in the region and beyond.”
