COVID-19 transition phase spurs MICE industry

With countries in the Asia-Pac region such as Singapore already in the transition phase towards living with COVID-19, the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences & Exhibitions (MICE) industry is also preparing to welcome both local and international visitors to their events, even in a more scaled-down capacity.
For example, global exhibitions company Informa Markets has already set the dates for two of its upcoming Singapore-based F&B and hospitality tradeshows — FHA-Food & Beverage and FHA-HoReCa in the latter part 2022.
Thus, preparations are underway to help exhibitors and visitors navigate through more scaled-down and hybrid shows. The company has recently appointed a new event director to lead both its Singapore and Hong Kong teams.
Presently the event director for another Informa show in Hong Kong, the biennial F&B and hospitality event HOFEX, Janice Lee, is taking over Martyn Cox. He will be returning to the UK in May.
In her new expanded role as the event director for both the FHA events and HOFEX, Lee will manage the event brands' overall performance and successful execution.
FHA-Food & Beverage is on 5-8 September 2022, while FHA-HoReCa is scheduled for 25-28 October 2022. Both events will be at the Singapore Expo. HOFEX will be held from 10-12 May 2023 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
