HK chefs reveal their culinary 'playbook'

The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) and the Michelin Guide present the Hong Kong Chefs' Playbook, a four-series video featuring the city's most celebrated chefs as hosts. Each host will unveil their playbooks based on their unique culinary background and finesse to showcase the vibrancy and diversity of Hong Kong's culinary scene.
Food is an essential factor for our Southeast Asian travellers when it comes to picking a destination, said Raymond Chan, regional director, Southeast Asia, Hong Kong Tourism Board. That is why the agency collaborated with the restaurant guide brand to showcase Hong Kong's neighbourhoods and their local flavours.
Released weekly, the series is available on HKTB's and Michelin's social media channels. The first episode last week was hosted by chef Vicky Lau of two-Michelin-starred Tate Dining Room. The chef brought viewers around the neighbourhood of Yau Ma Tei. This sector is also part of HKTB's latest West Kowloon neighbourhood campaign to boost authentic local cultural aspects.
"This area is where the old meets the new; with so much to discover especially if you are looking for something authentic and truly Hong Kong," she said. "It is a heaven for food lovers as this is where we find gadgets, ingredients and delicious food but there's so much authenticity to offer."
