Dishes from Indonesian archipelago under one roof

The Four Points by Sheraton Surabaya is bringing culinary delights from several regions in Indonesia at its Djaman Doeloe Resto and Bar. Helmed by the eatery’s new head chef Lukman Santoso, the restaurant prides itself in serving Nusantara (archipelago) cuisine. For example, there is Nasi Goreng Sunda Kelapa which is different from other nasi goreng dishes in Surabaya. Inspired by the fried rice sold in Sunda Kelapa port in Jakarta, this dish also uses a blend of flavours from different parts of Indonesia, namely Aceh and Bugis. This fried rice also use seafood such as crab meat and shrimp as main ingredients and is completed with shrimp satay.
The restaurant has also introduced a new Indonesian buffet dinner called "Pasar Malam Akhir Pekan". The buffet serves a variety of dishes from appetizers to desserts like Nasi Bakar Cakalang Pedar, Nasi Bakar Ayam Kemangi, Rawon, Hainan Rice, Roasted Duck, and Chicken Char Siu. Also available are selections of barbecued seafood, and desserts such as Klepon Bulang, Lapis Surabaya, and Es Teler.
Lastly, the restaurant also offers Bebek Betutu Kintamani, where the duck used for the dish is cooked for eight hours and served with sauteed Kangkong and Sambal Matah.
